New Mitel -Powering connection! Event:
In 2 October 2014 in Budapest, PORTEL KOM participated in an international event. At the event was presented the re-branding of Mitel with Aastra. It was presented the new logo of Mitel, and the future plans for development and operation of new systems Aastra 400 and MX-One. Also were presented new SIP phones 68xx version, the MX-ONE cloud platform and virtualization.
SPOT event:
On 21.05.2008 PORTEL KOM and Globalstar organized presentation for SPOT - the first satellite communication messenger in the world. The presentation was in the presentation room in “Klub na novinari”. SPOT is the only device of its kind, using the GPS satellite network to acquire its coordinates, and then sending its location – with a link to Google Maps™ – and a pre-programmed message via a commercial satellite network. And unlike Personal Locator Beacons, SPOT does more than just call for help. Tracking your progress, checking in with loved ones, and non-emergency assistance are also available, all at the push of a button. And because it uses 100% satellite technology, SPOT works around the world – even where cell phones don't.
Ericsson’s annual International Partners Meeting:
PORTEL KOM was attending at the Ericsson’s annual International Partners Meeting in Cape Town, South Africa from 11th of March till 13th of March 2008.

Mitel Rebrand Aastra: “Merging Mitel Networks and Aastra Technologies”
Mitel Networks is a high-tech company providing communications solutions for business. The company previously produced TDM PBX systems and applications, but after a change in ownership in 2001 now focuses almost entirely on Voice-over-IP (VoIP) products. In October 2014, Mitel announced the purchase and merging with Aastra Technologies. Aastra products and systems will continue to be supplied, but under the Mitel name.
Mitel’s CEO Mr. McBee said the new logo reflects not only the change from a regional company to a global leader, but also the shift from a hardware-focused company to a more software-oriented enterprise.
